Japan-America Society of Central Ohio

The Japan-America Society of Central Ohio is a private 501(c)(3) not-for-profit membership association of Americans and Japanese who desire to bring the Japanese and American communities together, promote goodwill through the sharing of knowledge about Japan, and provide a forum for informed discussion regarding the Japan-U.S. relationship. The Japan-America Society of Central Ohio is one of 38 Japan-America Societies located through the United States and is a member of the National Association of Japan-America Societies.


Founded in 1997 at The Ohio State University, the Japan-America Society of Central Ohio has had an ongoing commitment to serve the wide and varied needs of the Japanese living in Ohio and Ohioans engaged and interested in Japan. From business, education, and the needs of the diaspora community, JASCO is here to help.

We educate individuals and businesses in Central Ohio about the Japanese culture, people, and traditions, while demonstrating the significance to Central Ohio.


VOLUNTEER

Community outreach centers on having a diverse corp of volunteers. From teaching a class, translating a document, writing a blog, or simply taking attendance at an event, great events depend on the people behind it.
